Our goal here at JenkinsCustomKnives.com is to provide you with high quality handmade knives made by DL and David Jenkins. You can purchase one of the fine handmade knives we have in stock ready to ship with free shipping anywhere in the United States.
Our handmade knives are made the stock removel method meaning we start with a bar of steel and start removing material to shape and make the knife. Each handmade knife is hardened and tempered in a digitally controlled heat treating oven. Each handmade knife is finished to a high grade finish and shine then sharpened to a hair shaving edge and each handmade knife comes with a handmade leather sheath.
My father DL made his first handmade knife in the early to mid 1970's. His first knife was a mid sized bowie knife and was forged with hammer and anvil. He has sense went with the stock removel method of making knives and mostly uses high quality steels such as D-2, and 440-C to make his knives but will use others if you choose. He has made some folding knives but prefers to make straight hunting, and bowie knives.
My name is David. Wanting to be like my father as well as liking the knives that my father made made me want to make knives and I made my first handmade knife in the late 70's to early 1980's. I too use the same high quality steels such as D-2, and 440-C steels to make my knives the stock removel method. I too have made some folding knives but prefer to make straight knives hunting, and bowie's.
I'm also an engraver and do all the engraving on our handmade knives and the engraving is done by hand as well. I have done some carving in Ivory, and bone as well.
